Geography and History
Dordrecht is a quaint little farming village situated in the Stormberg region, North West of Queenstown in the Eastern Cape province of South Africa. Dordrecht lies at the foot of the Stormberg mountains and is on the popular Route 56 between Durban and Middlburg.
Dordrecht is well known for its trout fishing, pheasant and game hunting activities.
The town is situated in close proximity to the only snow skiing resort, Tiffendell, in South Africa.
Snow in winter in Dordrecht itself is not uncommon and is quite beautiful when it does occur.
Dordrecht is a pretty town with many historical buildings.
