Lalapanzi Guest Lodge - Port Elizabeth Self Catering or B&B Guesthouse Accommodation 

Lalapanzi Guest Lodge offers upmarket self catering accommodation with a B&B option in the very sought-after beachfront suburb of Humewood in the city of Port Elizabeth. We are a four star Tourism Grading Council accredited as well as AA Quality Accommodation grading of "Highly Recommended" guest house.

The name Lalapanzi is derived from the Xhosa language where "lala" means "sleep, lie or rest" and "panzi" means down. Lalapanzi therefore means "come lie down and rest".

Accommodation is offered in eight stylishly designed and furnished en-suite units all of which are fully equipped for those who prefer to go the self catering route. Bed and breakfast guests are also welcome as we have a nice breakfast room. This combination makes Lalapanzi attractive for not only the tourist and holiday maker but also for the business person who sometimes needs time in the privacy of his own accommodation.

We offer accommodation for up to 24 people of which eight can be children. All the suites are serviced on a daily basis and are equipped with DSTV , fan, heater and a fully equipped kitchenette for self catering. Wireless Internet as well as fax facilities are available on site. Laundry can be done on site at very reasonable rates.

Every unit has its own private entrance leading off a secure parking area.

The breakfast room is situated separately with its own entrance. It also has a gas braai (barbeque) for guests who would like to braai. We also have a portable braai on hand.

Activities in Port Elizabeth

Algoa Bay offers magnificent opportunities for all sorts of water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, swimming, kayaking, diving and snorkeling or just lazing around on one of the many safe, white sandy beaches. Various types of fishing satisfy all sorts of anglers.

It is located 400m from Port Elizabeth's famous Kings Beach, close to major beachfront attractions, restaurants and the Boardwalk Casino and entertainment complex.

The lodge is very well-positioned insofar as cultural attractions, sports and recreational facilities and educational centres are concerned. 

We are easily accessed from Port Elizabeth airport as well as from the N2 and Settlers freeways. Both the university and the airport are only 3.5 km away.
