Accommodation at Camdeboo National Park
Camdeboo National Park offers a unique overnight experience. The Parks accommodation area is situated on the floodplains of the Nqweba Dam, and is accessed via the Lakeview Gate, 4km out of Graaff-Reinet on the N9 to Middleburg.
Bird life around the Park is exceptional and opportunities for sightings within the accommodation area are plenty. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the number and diversity of birds that may be seen.
Both the tented camp and camp sites are located in the Park’s game viewing area, completely immersing guests in the surrounding bush. From here visitors can experience close-up sightings of various antelope such as springbok and red hartebeest, as well as smaller mammals such as the black-backed jackal.
Lakeview Tented Camp
There are four rustic tents each perched on their own wooden deck and hidden amongst the trees. Each tented unit sleeps two people on single beds neatly fitted with bedding and towels. The units have braai facilities, a fridge, a table and two chairs – perfect for an al fresco dinner in the bush.
There are communal ablutions as well as a fully-equipped communal kitchen, complete with stove plates and microwaves.
The tents can be booked individually or as a group booking. A communal braai area is available for groups.
Fifteen secluded caravan or tent sites are neatly situated beneath lush thorn trees with each allocation defined by a well-maintained graveled area. Each site has a braai unit, picnic table, light and power point.
Communal ablutions, including universal accessible facilities are available, along with a communal kitchen which provides a deep freeze, stove top and microwave.
